Lord (Tim) Bell of Belgravia
Lord (Tim) Bell is Chairman of Sans Frontières Associates. Until recently he was the Chairman of Bell Pottinger Private, the third largest public relations agency in the UK. He is one of the best-known figures in the United Kingdom communications industry. He helped found Saatchi & Saatchi in 1970, and as International Chairman he took Saatchi & Saatchi into its position as the first British No. 1 worldwide advertising agency in 1981. He successfully ran the publicity campaigns for the Conservative Party for the general elections in 1979, 1983 and 1987. In 1985 he was appointed Deputy Chairman of Lowe Howard-Spink & Bell plc and remained in that position until the formation of Chime Communications in 1989. He advises the chairmen of many of Britain’s leading companies and organisations as well as foreign heads of state and international business leaders and politicians. He was awarded a knighthood in 1990 by Lady Thatcher in her resignation.
Jonathan J Lehrle
Managing Director
Jonathan is Managing Director of Sans Frontières Associates Ltd.
He is a former Conservative Party Chief of Staff responsible for foreign policy evaluation and formulation (2001 – 2005), who possesses sound knowledge of political message control and media handling skills. He worked with Bell Pottinger Sans Frontieres from 2008 to 2016, handling numerous sensitive projects, from Belarus & President Lukashenko in 2008/9, followed by more traditional political projects in Zambia, South Africa, Gabon, Guinea, Zambia (mining), Niger, DRC, Republic of Congo (PCT), Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Ukraine and in the Middle East. In 2015 he worked on the Nigerian election and Republic of Congo Referendum. In 2016 he established Sans Frontières Associates Ltd.
Darren Murphy
Darren Murphy is an Associate of Sans Frontières Associates. Darren was a partner and formerly Chairman of Bell Pottinger Geopolitical – overseeing the company’s reputation management efforts for international governments, corporates and individuals. He spent eight years as a special adviser in Tony Blair’s government including as special adviser to Health Secretary 1999-2003 and political communications adviser to the Prime Minister. Since leaving government, he has been a political consultant, specialising in services to governments, advising heads of state and government, party and political leaders, public service reformers and regulators in Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia on public attitudes, political strategy, elections, campaigns and strategic communications.
Jon Hudson
Jon Hudson is an Associate with Sans Frontières Associates. Jon leads on Brexit Exchange – an international dialogue for business to engage with the Brexit negotiations. He has worked with a range of private sector and charitable clients delivering a number of public affairs and CSR projects. His experience includes working as Head of External Affairs for Prince Charles’ charity Business in the Community and as a Political Advisor for Labour’s Chris Leslie when he was Shadow Chancellor in 2015. Jon graduated from the London School of Economics in 2012 with a Masters degree in Global History and from De Montfort University in 2009 with a degree in International Business and Globalisation.
Ileana Georgiadis
Senior Consultant
Ileana is a Senior Consultant with Sans Frontières Associates. Ileana has specialised in strategic communications for over a decade, focusing on international media relations across a wide range of corporate clients, including a major Iraqi bank, a North African financial centre, and various noteworthy Africa-based clients in the natural resources sector, specifically in Madagascar, Zambia, DRC, Angola and Mozambique. Ileana has dealt with a wide range of communications issues and crises, developing clients’ strategy on the ground and from London. Ileana worked at Bell Pottinger Sans Frontières (later called Bell Pottinger Geopolitical) from 2006-2016 before joining Sans Frontières Associates. Ileana graduated from Oxford University in Philosophy and Modern Languages.
Jerome Hasler
Senior Consultant
Jerome Hasler is a Senior Consultant with Sans Frontières Associates. He is a reputation management and strategic communications professional with a clear record of success in campaigning, crisis management and profile building for private and corporate clients at a national and international level. Jerome trained as a reputation management and communications strategist with Bell Pottinger’s Geopolitical team, advising clients on communications for political campaigns, foreign direct investment, litigation, stakeholder relations and crisis management for clients in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Jerome left Bell Pottinger to run the external communications office of a boutique litigation and mediation practice, advising UHNW (ultra-high-net-worth) individuals on extremely sensitive issues concerning cross-border transactions, criminal wrongdoing and cultural heritage.
Anna Richardson
Senior Consultant
Anna is a Senior Consultant at Sans Frontières Associates. She has extensive experience devising and implementing communications programmes and public policy campaigns for large corporates, foreign governments and advocacy organisations. In her recent role at Burson-Marsteller, Anna managed a range of high-profile international PR programmes including; reputation building activity for governments in Eastern Europe, Africa and the Middle East; an investment programme for the government of the Philippines; and strategic media relations for the government of Iceland in the face of diplomatic and economic disputes. She successfully led the launch of Amazon UK's first corporate communications programme; managed the triple award winning 'Champions Drink Responsibly' CSR campaign for Bacardi Ltd; and handled some of the biggest PR crisis of the last decade. These include high-profile government issues, chemical accidents, cruise ship disasters and food crises. In 2013 she made it onto PRWeek's ``30 under 30`` PR professionals to watch and was selected as a mentee in the 2015 PR Week Mentoring Programme.
Matt Bell
Matt Bell is a Consultant with Sans Frontières Associates. He is a specialist in public opinion research having previously worked for leading polling company ICM. He was previously at Bell Pottinger, where he worked for a range of companies, political organisations and high net worth individuals in Europe and Africa. He also worked for the BBC’s international documentary strand, Storyville, and for Liberal Democrat leader Tim Farron. Matt graduated from Oxford University in 2012 with a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics.
Clare Hall
PA and Office Manager
Clare is PA and Office Manager at Sans Frontières Associates. Previously at Bell Pottinger for five and a half years, Clare worked within the Geopolitical Division during which time she supported the Chairman, Managing Director and Partners.
Prior to working in the PR industry, Clare was a Project Co-ordinator for Sheffield Local Authority. She also spent two years working as an EA for the Victoria Government in Melbourne within the Department of Justice and Department of Primary Industries.
