Jonathan J Lehrle
Managing Director
Jonathan is Managing Director of Sans Frontières Associates Ltd.
He is a former Conservative Party Chief of Staff responsible for foreign policy evaluation and formulation (2001 – 2005), who possesses sound knowledge of political message control and media handling skills. Between 2008 and 2016 he handled numerous sensitive projects, from Belarus & President Lukashenko in 2008/9, followed by more traditional political projects in Zambia, South Africa, Gabon, Guinea, Zambia (mining), Niger, DRC, Republic of Congo (PCT), Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Ukraine and in the Middle East. In 2015 he worked on the Nigerian election and Republic of Congo Referendum. In 2016 he established Sans Frontières Associates Ltd.
Ileana Georgiadis
Senior Consultant
Ileana Georgiadis is a Senior Consultant with Sans Frontières Associates. Since 2006 she has specialised in strategic and crisis communications, focusing on international media relations across a wide range of corporate clients, including a major Middle Eastern bank, a North African financial centre, and various noteworthy Africa-based clients in the natural resources sector, specifically in Madagascar, Zambia, DRC, Angola and Mozambique.
Ileana has dealt with a wide range of communications issues and crises, notably with high-profile individuals who have had their operations adversely affected by politically motivated campaigns or corporate disputes, developing clients’ strategy on the ground and from London, often working alongside clients’ legal teams to preserve reputations ahead of, during, and following periods of conflict.
Aside from running corporate and personal campaigns, Ileana has worked with government ministries in frontier markets to help articulate economic growth strategies to key international audiences. In addition, her work has included awareness-raising of human rights offences in Africa at the United Nations Human Rights Council. Ileana graduated from Oxford University in Philosophy and Modern Languages.
Jerome Hasler
Senior Consultant
Jerome Hasler is a Senior Consultant with Sans Frontières Associates. He is a communications strategist specialising in corporate profile building, disputes and crisis management for clients in emerging markets. Jerome advises on many of the company’s international disputes and legal affairs mandates as well as country-level reputation management briefs. He has recently been engaged to advise on cases involving extradition, politically-motivated allegations, shareholder activism and rebuilding investor confidence.
Prior to joining Sans Frontières Associates, Jerome advised a number of CEOs on their personal communications needs around corporate transition, leadership profile and international engagement. Jerome also ran an external communications office of a boutique mediation practice advising private clients on sensitive issues concerning cross-border transactions, criminal wrongdoing and cultural heritage.
Philip Peck
Senior Consultant
Philip Peck is a Senior Consultant with Sans Frontières Associates. He has more than nine years’ experience managing reputations, campaigns and crisis communications for governments, individuals and corporates based predominantly in emerging markets. Philip’s experience includes a global investment promotion campaign for a Middle Eastern government, leading on profile-raising campaigns for a number of African corporates, and advising on two presidential election campaigns in Africa. Philip has a degree in politics and international relations from Sheffield University and spent a year studying Mandarin at Fudan University in China.
Maria Blank
Maria Blank has a vast experience of building strategies and guiding the growth and development of diverse international organisations in the charitable, political and corporate sectors.

Maria is a Russian national and has led a charitable foundation from its inception to create a widely recognised name in charitable giving. Previous to that Maria executed PR campaigns, managed day-to-day financial PR services for corporate, B2B and B2C clients, including companies like Rosneft, KMG EP, Basic Element and Sochi.

Maria also has experience working as a journalist at BBC Russian Service.

Lauren O’Keeffe
Account Executive
Lauren O’Keeffe is an Account Executive with Sans Frontières Associates. She completed a Master’s degree in French and Linguistics, giving her a strong understanding of using language and discourse effectively to achieve a particular objective in a range of scenarios. She has had experience planning both PR and marketing strategies. This includes working in the staff team for a Conservative party member of the European Parliament in Brussels, where Lauren managed media relations, events and research projects. Lauren has also had experience working within a global media agency for a premium automotive brand. In this role, she executed digital marketing campaigns across multiple media channels and conducted in-depth research on various topics, such as competitive monitoring, political and economic analysis.
Georgie Caney
PA and Office Manager
Georgie is PA and Office Manager at Sans Frontières Associates. Previously, Georgie worked at Pagefield Global Counsel as PA to the Managing Partner and Partners, alongside this she was also Office Manager, overseeing the efficient running of the office, as well as organising events and helping with HR processes. Georgie has experience in the public relations industry as well as being a team manager for a catering company, helping to organise and run events in Hertfordshire.

Darren Murphy
Darren Murphy
Darren Murphy is an Associate of Sans Frontières Associates. Previously, in 2011, Darren founded and was Chief Executive of Centreground Political Communications Limited, an international political communications and campaigns consultancy. Prior to Centreground, he spent eight years as a special adviser in Tony Blair’s government including as special adviser to Health Secretary 1999-2003 and political communications adviser to the Prime Minister. Since leaving government, he has been a political consultant, specialising in services to governments, advising heads of state and government, party and political leaders, public service reformers and regulators in Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia on public attitudes, political strategy, elections, campaigns and strategic communications.
Philip Dennis
Financial Communications Associate
Philip Dennis is a Financial Communications Associate of Sans Frontières Associates. He has extensive experience of advising, leading and implementing financial, corporate communications and investor relations campaigns. His approach and advice is based on a background in finance and accounting and over 20 years in communications and investor Relations. Philip has advised senior management teams from small and medium growth companies to large international entities across both the public and private markets. He has worked across multiple sectors, including oil & gas, biotech, retail, industry, consumer finance and technology. Advising companies and individuals on reputation management, profile development, IPOs, M&A, shareholder disputes, government relations, crisis management and debt holder communications.
Mark Webster
Mark Webster
Specialist Media Trainer
Mark is a specialist media trainer at Sans Frontières Associates. With more than 30 years’ experience, Mark is a seasoned journalist that has worked across some the UK’s biggest print titles and broadcasters. He began his career at London’s Evening Standard, before moving to the Financial Times in 1977 where he was Africa correspondent and then industrial correspondent. Between 1982 and 2007 Mark held numerous correspondent and editorial positions at ITN, one of the UK’s biggest news broadcasters. In 2007, he became a senior media spokesperson for Menzies Campbell, the then-leader of the UK Liberal Democrats.
